This is the situation I find myself in having watched "The Irresistible Blueberry Farm" which uses the incredibly familiar storyline of a city career woman ending up in a quaint small town and despite having a boyfriend in the city finds herself not only falling in love with the place but falling in love with a down to earth local. ![]() Once again I find myself watching a Hallmark Channel movie and wondering what to say about it which I haven't said dozens of other times when I have reviewed other Hallmark movies. ![]() But Roy is struggling to keep his late uncle's blueberry farm running and prevent it from being swallowed up by a large, faceless company. Ellen decides to stay in town longer than she intended and whilst trying to learn more about her grandmother's childhood becomes close to Roy despite having a boyfriend back in the city. It turns out Roy is the great nephew of the man who Ellen is in town to deliver a letter to but has sadly recently died. On arriving in Beacon, Maine Ellen quickly makes a splash when she falls into the sea and is rescued by a local called Roy ( Marc Blucas - Miss Christmas). And as she promised her grandmother before she died she is heading to where her grandmother grew up in Maine so that she can hand deliver a letter to the man who was her childhood sweetheart but whose heart she broke. Whilst Ellen Branford ( Alison Sweeney - Christmas at Holly Lodge) is a city attorney, she is dealing with the death of her beloved grandmother ( Shirley Jones - Hidden Places).
